About

Gabriella D’Italia lives in the former one-room schoolhouse called The Bell School in rural Maine 500 miles from her home. She usually chooses white, but sometimes red, always hot over cold, deciduous over evergreen, hills over plains. She has been twice formally accused:

1. “child-like love of the forms”

2. “quietly subversive”

There are phrases that persist: female background and elaborate specificity.
